(BHSCO) Genesis 37 : 22 ויאמר אלהם ראובן אל־תשפכו־דם השליכו אתו אל־הבור הזה אשר במדבר ויד אל־תשלחו־בו למען הציל אתו מידם להשיבו אל־אביו׃
(IS) Genesis 37 : 22 I Ruben ih nagovarao: "Ne prolijevajte krvi; bacite ga tamo u jamu u pustinji, ali ne mećite ruke na njega!" Tako ga htjede izbaviti iz ruke njihove i povratiti ga opet ocu njegovu.

(DK) Genesis 37 : 22 I još im reče Ruvim: nemojte krvi proljevati; bacite ga u ovu jamu u pustinji, a ne dižite ruke na nj. A on ga šćaše izbaviti iz ruku njihovijeh i odvesti k ocu.

(NLT) Genesis 37 : 22 "Why should we shed any blood? Let's just throw him into this empty cistern here in the wilderness. Then he'll die without our laying a hand on him." Reuben was secretly planning to rescue Joseph and return him to his father.
