(APB) John 18 : 1 Yeshua said these things and went forth with his disciples to the crossing of the torrent of Qedrown; The place was a garden, where he and his disciples entered.
(APB) John 18 : 2 But Yehuda the traitor had also known that place, because Yeshua had met there many times with his disciples.
(APB) John 18 : 3 Therefore Yehuda led a company also from the presence of the Chief Priests and the Pharisees. He led the guards and came there with torches and lamps and weapons.
(APB) John 18 : 4 But Yeshua, because he knew all these things had come upon him, went out and said to them, "Whom are you seeking?”
(APB) John 18 : 5 They were saying to him, "Yeshua the Nazarene.” Yeshua said to them, "I AM THE LIVING GOD.” But Yehuda the traitor was also standing with them.
(APB) John 18 : 6 And when Yeshua said to them, "I AM THE LIVING GOD”, they went backward and fell to the ground.
(APB) John 18 : 7 Yeshua said again, "Whom are you seeking?” But they said, "Yeshua the Nazarene.”
(APB) John 18 : 8 Yeshua said to them, "I have told you that I AM THE LIVING GOD, and if you are seeking me, let these men go”,
(APB) John 18 : 9 So that the saying might be fulfilled: "Of Those whom you have given me, I have not lost one.”
(APB) John 18 : 10 But Shimeon Kaypha had a sword on him and he drew it and struck the servant of The High Priest and took off his right ear, and the name of the servant was Malka.
(APB) John 18 : 11 Yeshua said, "Kaypha, put the sword in its sheath. The cup that The Father has given me, shall I not drink it?”
(APB) John 18 : 12 Then the company and a Captain of a thousand, and guards of the Judeans, seized Yeshua and bound him.
(APB) John 18 : 13 And they brought him to the presence of Hannan first, because he was Father-in-law of Qaypha, who was The High Priest that year.
(APB) John 18 : 14 But it was Qaypha who counseled the Jews that it was better that one man should die for the sake of the nation.
(APB) John 18 : 15 But Shimeon Kaypha and one of the other disciples were coming after Yeshua, and that disciple had known The High Priest and he entered with Yeshua to the courtyard.
(APB) John 18 : 16 But Shimeon was standing outside near the gate and that other disciple who knew The High Priest went out and spoke to her who kept the gate and he brought in Shimeon.
(APB) John 18 : 17 But the maiden gatekeeper said to Shimeon, "Are you also one of this man's disciples?” He said to her, "No.”
(APB) John 18 : 18 And the servants and the guards were standing and they were setting a fire to warm themselves because it was cold, but Shimeon was also standing with them and warming himself.
(APB) John 18 : 19 And The High Priest asked Yeshua about his disciples and about his teaching.
(APB) John 18 : 20 And Yeshua said to him, "I have spoken openly with the people, and at all times I have taught in the synagogue and in The Temple, where all of the Judeans assemble and I have spoken nothing in secret.”
(APB) John 18 : 21 "Why do you ask me? Ask those who heard what I spoke with them, behold, they know what I have said.”
(APB) John 18 : 22 And when he had said these things, one of the guards who was standing there struck Yeshua on the cheek and said to him, "Do you answer thus to The High Priest?”
(APB) John 18 : 23 Yeshua answered and said to him, "If I have spoken evil, testify of the evil, but if I have spoken correctly, why do you strike me?”
(APB) John 18 : 24 But Hannan sent Yeshua, being bound, to the presence of Qaypha the High Priest.
(APB) John 18 : 25 And Shimeon Kaypha was standing and warming himself and they were saying to him, "Are you also one of his disciples?” And he denied and said, "I am not.”
(APB) John 18 : 26 And one of the servants of The High Priest, near kin of him whose ear Shimeon had cut off, said, "Did I not see you with him in the garden?”
(APB) John 18 : 27 And Shimeon denied again, and in that hour a rooster crowed.
(APB) John 18 : 28 They brought Yeshua from the presence of Qaypha to the Praetorium, and it was dawn, and they did not enter the Praetorium, lest they would be defiled, until they had eaten the Passover.
(APB) John 18 : 29 But Pilate went outside to their presence and he said to them, "What accusation do you have against this man?”
(APB) John 18 : 30 And they answered, and they were saying to him, "If he were not an evildoer, we would not have delivered him to you.”
(APB) John 18 : 31 Pilate said to them, "Take him and judge him according to your law.” The Judeans were saying to him, "It is not permitted for us to kill a man”,
(APB) John 18 : 32 So that the saying may be fulfilled that Yeshua spoke when he revealed by what death he was going to die.
(APB) John 18 : 33 But Pilate entered the Praetorium and he called for Yeshua and said to him, "Are you The King of the Judeans?”
(APB) John 18 : 34 Yeshua said to him, "Have you said this of yourself, or have others spoken to you about me?”
(APB) John 18 : 35 Pilate said to him, "Am I a Judean? The people of your nation and The High Priests have delivered you to me. What have you done?”
(APB) John 18 : 36 Yeshua said to him, "My Kingdom is not from this world; if my Kingdom were of this world, my servants would be fighting that I would not have been delivered up to the Judeans, but now my Kingdom is not from here.”
(APB) John 18 : 37 Pilate said to him, "You are a King then?” Yeshua said to him, "You have said that I am a King. For this I was born and for this I have come into the world: to testify of the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears my voice.”
(APB) John 18 : 38 Pilate said to him, "What is the truth?” And when he had said this he went out again to the Judeans and he said to them, "I find not even one fault in him.”
(APB) John 18 : 39 "But you have a custom that I should release to you one prisoner at Passover. Do you wish therefore that I release you this man, The King of the Judeans?”
(APB) John 18 : 40 And they all cried out when they were saying, "Not this one, but Barabba.” But this Barabba was a robber.
