Nego si se podigao proti Gospodu nebeskomu. Sudove hrama njegova morali su donijeti preda te, i pio si iz njih vino sa svojim velikašima, sa svojim ženama i inočama. Slavio si svoje bogove srebrne i zlatne, mjedene, gvozdene, drvene i kamene, koji ne mogu ni vidjeti ni čuti, niti imaju razum. A nijesi iskazao čast Bogu, u čijoj su ruci životni dah tvoj i svi putovi tvoji.

ti si se podigao protiv Gospoda Nebeskoga, dao si da ti donesu suđe iz njegova Doma i pili ste vino iz njega ti, tvoji velikaši, tvoje žene i tvoje suložnice, hvaleći bogove od zlata i srebra, od mjedi i željeza, od drva i kamena, koji ne vide, ne čuju niti razumiju, a nisi dao slavu Bogu koji u svojoj ruci drži dah tvoj i sve tvoje putove.
