לְמַעַן אֲשֶׁר לֹא־יִגְבְּהוּ בְקֹומָתָם כָּל־עֲצֵי־מַיִם וְלֹא־יִתְּנוּ אֶת־צַמַּרְתָּם אֶל־בֵּין עֲבֹתִים וְלֹא־יַעַמְדוּ אֵלֵיהֶם בְּגָבְהָם כָּל־שֹׁתֵי מָיִם כִּי־כֻלָּם נִתְּנוּ לַמָּוֶת אֶל־אֶרֶץ תַּחְתִּית בְּתֹוךְ בְּנֵי אָדָם אֶל־יֹורְדֵי בֹור׃ ס

למען אשר לא־יגבהו בקומתם כל־עצי־מים ולא־יתנו את־צמרתם אל־בין עבתים ולא־יעמדו אליהם בגבהם כל־שתי מים כי־כלם נתנו למות אל־ארץ תחתית בתוך בני אדם אל־יורדי בור׃ ס

Nijedno drvo kraj vode da se više ne bi dizalo previsoko u svojemu rastu i vrha svojega da ne bi pružalo do u oblake! Od silnika, što piju vodu, da se više ne bi ni jedan oholio visinom svojom, jer su svi posvećeni smrti, moraju dolje u podzemni svijet, dolje k ljudima, što su sišli u jamu.'

Da se rastom svojim nijedno stablo pokraj vode više ne uzvisi i da vrh svoj među oblake ne uzdigne! I da se nijedno stablo koje pije vode u visinu svoju ne uzdaje! Jer su svi predani smrti, bačeni u podzemne krajeve, posred sinova ljudskih, s onima što slaze u jamu!'

Da se ne ponosi visinom svojom nijedno drvo kraj vode i ne diže vrha svojega među guste grane, i od svijeh što se natapaju da se nijedno ne uzda u se radi svoje veličine; jer su svi predani na smrt, bačeni u najdonji kraj zemlje među sinove ljudske s onima koji slaze u jamu.

To je da se nikakvo dobro orošeno drvo ne uzdigne se, tako da njegov vrh probije oblake, to je da se nikakvo dobro napojeno drvo podigne oholo iznad drugih. Jer svi, oni si izručeni smrti, zemlji dubina, u sred sinova ljudskih, kod onih koji silaze u jamu .

So no tree, even if it is well-watered, will ever stand that tall. Every tree is going to die and go below the earth to join those who have died and gone down to the pit.
