וַיֹּאמֶר הִנֵּה אָנֹכִי כֹּרֵת בְּרִית נֶגֶד כָּל־עַמְּךָ אֶעֱשֶׂה נִפְלָאֹת אֲשֶׁר לֹא־נִבְרְאוּ בְכָל־הָאָרֶץ וּבְכָל־הַגֹּויִם וְרָאָה כָל־הָעָם אֲשֶׁר־אַתָּה בְקִרְבֹּו אֶת־מַעֲשֵׂה יְהוָה כִּי־נֹורָא הוּא אֲשֶׁר אֲנִי עֹשֶׂה עִמָּךְ׃

On reče: "Evo, ja sklapam zavjet. Pred cijelim narodom tvojim učinit ću čudesa, kakva se nijesu dogodila na svoj zemlji i ni u kojem narodu, i narod, među kojim živiš, vidjet će djelovanje Gospodnje, jer čudovito je, što ću učiniti na tebi.

Dobro, odgovori, "sklapam Savez. Pred cijelim tvojim pukom činit ću čudesa kakva se nisu događala ni u kojoj zemlji, ni u kojem narodu. Sav narod koji te okružuje vidjet će što može Jahve, jer ono što ću s tobom učiniti bit će strašno.
