A kad bi se izredali gozbom, tada bi dao Job da se pozovu i da priprave za žrtvu. Rano bi onda prinosio žrtvu paljenicu za svakoga od njih, jer je mislio Job: "Možda su sagriješila djeca moja i Boga uvrijedila u svojemu srcu." Tako je činio Job svaki put.
