Kad se kralj vrati iz vrta dvorskoga u dvoranu na vino, Haman se je bio bacio pred jastuk, na kojemu je sjedila Estera. Kralj povika: "Zar će i kraljicu još silovati u mojoj vlastitoj kući?" Jedva je bila ta riječ istekla iz usta kraljevih, pokriše lice Hamanu.

Kralj se vrati iz vrta u dvoranu gdje se pilo vino. Dotle Haman bijaše pao na počivaljku na kojoj se nalazila Estera. Pokušavaš još i nasilje nad kraljicom, i to u mome vlastitom domu? - povika kralj. Tek što su te riječi izletjele iz kraljevih usta, pokriše lice Hamanu.

Kad se kralj vrati iz paviljonskoga vrta u gozbenu dvoranu, Haman bijaše stropoštan na divanu gdje je bila Estera! Na to, kralj reče: `Hoće li još, silovati kraljicu, dok sam ja u kući?` Jedna naredba iziđe iz kraljevih usta, i staviše kukuljicu preko lica Hamanovog .
