I otide Joab kralju i pripovjedi mu što je i kako je. Ovaj dade dozvati Absaloma. Kad je bio došao kralju, baci se pred kraljem na svoje lice na zemlju ničice, i kralj poljubi Absaloma.

I otide Joav k caru, i kaza mu. I dozva Avesaloma; a on došavši k caru pokloni se licem do zemlje pred carem, i car cjelova Avesaloma.
