הֲלֹוא עַל־אֵלֶּה חָטָא־שְׁלֹמֹה מֶלֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵל וּבַגֹּויִם הָרַבִּים לֹא־הָיָה מֶלֶךְ כָּמֹהוּ וְאָהוּב לֵאלֹהָיו הָיָה וַיִּתְּנֵהוּ אֱלֹהִים מֶלֶךְ עַל־כָּל־יִשְׂרָאֵל גַּם־אֹותֹו הֶחֱטִיאוּ הַנָּשִׁים הַנָּכְרִיֹּות׃

Nije li stim sagriješio Salomon, kralj Izraelov? Među svim mnogim narodima nije bilo kralja njemu ravna. Bio je ljubimac Boga svojega, i Bog ga je učinio kraljem nad svim Izraelom. Pa opet ga navratiše na grijeh žene tuđinke.
