וְיָדְעוּ הַגֹּויִם כִּי בַעֲוֹנָם גָּלוּ בֵית־יִשְׂרָאֵל עַל אֲשֶׁר מָעֲלוּ־בִי וָאַסְתִּר פָּנַי מֵהֶם וָאֶתְּנֵם בְּיַד צָרֵיהֶם וַיִּפְּלוּ בַחֶרֶב כֻּלָּם׃

וידעו הגוים כי בעונם גלו בית־ישראל על אשר מעלו־בי ואסתר פני מהם ואתנם ביד צריהם ויפלו בחרב כלם׃

Narodi će spoznati, da je kuća Izraelova morala ići u ropstvo zbog opačina svojih, jer su me bili ostavili. Zato sam odvratio lice svoje od njih i dao ih u ruke neprijateljima njihovim, tako da su svi pali od mača.
