Salomon odgovori: "Ti si svojemu slugi Davidu, mojemu ocu, iskazivao veliku naklonost, jer je on hodio pred tobom u vjernosti i pravednosti i srcem iskrenim, i ti si mu sačuvao tu veliku naklonost i darovao si mu sina, koji sada sjedi na prijestolju njegovu.
