Tada odgovoriše i rekoše caru: Danilo, koji je između roblja Judina, ne haje za te, care, ni za zabranu koju si napisao, nego se moli tri puta na dan svojom molitvom.

Tad se oni primakoše i rekoše u nazočnosti kraljevoj, glede kraljeve zabrane: ` Nisi li ti potpisao jednu zabranu prema kojoj svaki čovjek koji, tijekom 30 dana, molio bi jednom drugom bogu ili čovjeku, a ne tebi samom, o kralju, bio bi bačen u jamu k lavovimađ ` Kralj uze riječ i reče: ` Stvar je sigurna, prema zakonu Medije i Perzije koji je neporeciv.`
