וְעַתָּה יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל שְׁמֹר לְעַבְדְּךָ דָוִד אָבִי אֵת אֲשֶׁר דִּבַּרְתָּ לֹּו לֵאמֹר לֹא־יִכָּרֵת לְךָ אִישׁ מִלְּפָנַי יֹשֵׁב עַל־כִּסֵּא יִשְׂרָאֵל רַק אִם־יִשְׁמְרוּ בָנֶיךָ אֶת־דַּרְכָּם לָלֶכֶת לְפָנַי כַּאֲשֶׁר הָלַכְתָּ לְפָנָי׃

A sada, Gospode, Bože Izraelov, drži slugi svojemu, mojemu ocu Davidu, i obećanje, što si mu ga dao, kad si rekao: Koliko je do mene, neće ti nikada nestati čovjeka, koji bi sjedio na prijestolju Izraelovu. Samo moraju potomci tvoji ponašanje svoje tako urediti, da hode preda mnom, kao što si ti hodio preda mnom.
