וּפָנִיתִי אֲנִי בְּכָל־מַעֲשַׂי שֶׁעָשׂוּ יָדַי וּבֶעָמָל שֶׁעָמַלְתִּי לַעֲשֹׂות וְהִנֵּה הַכֹּל הֶבֶל וּרְעוּת רוּחַ וְאֵין יִתְרֹון תַּחַת הַשָּׁמֶשׁ׃

A kad pogledah na sva djela svoja što uradiše ruke moje, i na trud kojim se trudih da uradim, gle, sve bješe taština i muka duhu, i nema koristi pod suncem.
